Not really what you are wearing, but I suppose we do "wear" our head hair!
Anwyay, yes I am standing up and addmitting that I am a crimp addict! I must crimp my hair at leasrt 3 times a week otherwise I go into withdrawel and start loking like an old rocker!

Do I need to cure my addition, or do I Church Of Satan style, feed my addition? Is anyone else afflicted with this Gothic illness.

No way, I'm too lazy to do anything with my hair. I did crimp it sometimes in the 80s, but it took too long.

Ahhh, perhaps but it would be worth it!

Crimping does take me back. To last week! I kind have stopped crimping my hair now. I still do it, but my hair is arse length so it takes ages. Also, the amount of hairspray I would need to keep it looking good was ridiculous.
I got about 4 inches off the tips this week, so maybe I'll do it more often. I use an original Babyliss crimper with metal plates that smell bad after a while.
Not like the ceramic straighteners you get nowadays!

Haha I ve been looking at an old photo of me in 1985, I do look better then, but probably got something to do with my age, well on the plus side if you dont wash your hair or go out in the rain it lasts some time.

If only we could get wide crimpers to do long hair all in one go instead of the stingy narrow ones; another good design would be crimper style curlers, like crimpers but with deep curvy grooves, better than getting hair tangled in tongs, that puts me off curling.

That would be ace. Wide crimpers would do the job.

I had noticed that every time ive seen you you've got crimped hair! Even when ive accidently bumped into you. I think its a brilliant addiction, theres alot worse ones you could have adopted. And it means you've constantly got cool looking hair!
Yay for crimping addictions!

As some of you from the old CoN may recall I asked about replacement UK crimpers a year or so back. To my delight I've found the Babyliss pro 200 is actually rather good, despite the plates being ceramic, and about as wide as a large pencil. The advantage of the narrow crimpers - slightly offset by the repetitive strain injuries to wrist and elbow - is the extra crimp volume, perfect for folks like me with fine hair.

I finally cured my crimp addiction.. means I've reduced my 'getting ready' time from 2-3 hours to an incredibly speedy 1-2. The rock thing is an ongoing concern though!

I can never decide if the aching arms and looooooooong time to get ready are worth it. Then I realise that YES! it is worth it.
I've started to do my hair NOW for GG tomorrow.
